Do you own or work at a company that is involved in the propane industry? If yes, the Propane Centennial Celebration (PCC) Task Force wants to hear from you. They are collecting historical information from industry members to be included on its commemorative website that is currently under development that will be dedicated to raising awareness and celebrating the propane industry’s 100th anniversary, set to take place in 2012.
The website is scheduled to be up and running by January 2011. One of the prominent features this site will have is a timeline chronicling the visual history of both the propane industry as a whole as well as individual propane companies. All propane companies are now being asked to electronically submit old photos and documents, as well as brief descriptions of company milestones, to the PCC to be included in the timeline.
While the PCC website is being developed, I encourage you all to check out the PCC’s promotional video, which is currently located on National Propane Gas Association’s website.
There is no monetary contribution necessary to participate in this project. To help ensure that your company’s material is included at the launch, email digital images and the completed form to PCCwebsite@npga.org by 5:00pm EDT Monday, October 4, 2010.
Thank you for participating in this project. Your contribution will add to Texas’ role in the industry’s history.
