Did you know Buster Brown Propane Service and the Railroad Commission of Texas’ Alternative Energy Division hosted a free propane (LP-gas) training class for the New Caney Fire Department on July 2?
Buster Brown Propane Service worked with the Texas Railroad Commission to custom-design a three-hour class to meet local needs. The class included propane safety topics ranging from barbecue cylinders to residential tanks and commercial bulk installations. Participating fire fighters received hands-on experience with propane equipment as well as classroom instruction. The Railroad Commission’s very own Kent Watts, the commission’s propane trainer, taught the class.
“Using and handling propane safely is very important to us,” said Mark Peterson of the Buster Brown Propane Service. “The commission’s propane safety training for local fire departments is designed to increase firefighters’ knowledge of propane and help them respond
effectively in any situation.”
For more information on how to use propane safely, contact the Railroad Commission’s Alternative Fuels Division at 800-64-CLEAR or visit www.rrc.state.tx.us and click on “Propane/LP-Gas.”
Big thanks to Chief Jeff Taylor and Jan and Mark Peterson (pictured left) of Buster Brown Propane who hosted a great event!
