Midland, Texas has seen a rapid growth in population, which has led to local school districts seeing an increase in student population. This month, Midland ISD received amazing news that they would be the recipients of a check worth $558,000 dollars!
This check, awarded by the Texas PTA who partnered up with the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality for the project, called the “Clean School Bus Program” will go toward the purchase of seven new fuel-efficient propane-powered school buses as well as fuel stations. The Texas Clean School Bus program is a comprehensive program designed to reduce emissions of diesel exhaust from school buses.
Congratulations to Midland Superintendent Dr. Ryder Warren for taking a chance and making the switch to propane!
