The Alternative Fuels Research & Education Division (AFRED) of the Texas Railroad Commission (RRC) offers propane training and certification courses taking place in all regions of Texas. So, as we approach the New Year I see it only right to review AFRED fiscal 2010 Training Statistics!
AFRED taught 288 propane safety classes for a total of 3,266 industry managers and technicians, with an average attendance of about 11 students per class. AFRED also held 13 special evening classes for a total of 415 volunteer firefighters and other emergency responders in partnership with 49 participating propane marketers.
